How can I give back to the community?

Once you are at a stable point in your life, you may be wondering how you can give back to your community. You may see parks that are covered in trash or homeless people on the street or something else that may pull on your heartstrings. There are many ways that you can share your good fortune with others.

One way to approach this is to find a cause that you believe in and ask them how you can help. Charities can usually benefit from receiving three things: time, money and supplies. Although you do not need to go through a charity to pick up trash, it can help provide some structure and give you opportunities to meet new people.

most important thing to consider is what you have the most of that you are willing to give up. For example, if you are retired, you may have a lot of extra time on your hands. Your time, in addition to your life experience, could be invaluable to a number of organizations. Those who have a job or other obligations that require lots of time may find it a little bit more difficult to donate their afternoons or weekends so easily.
